The lane to the front is very quiet, the unbridged ford at the bottom of the road is not suitable for vehicles, so very few pass the front of the cottage. It is a very peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the sound of nature, with fantastic walking from the doorstep.

One of the unique things about the location of Pen Cottage is that the unbridged ford at the bottom of the lane is not suitable for vehicles, making it a very quiet and peaceful spot.
However, the fantastic Kings Head in Letheringsett is easy walking distance and Back To The Garden (multi award winning Farm Shop & cafe) is a couple of minutes in the car.
It is also just five minutes from Holt with all the amenities there and on foot, Holt is around 20 minutes walk away over Spout Hills, so no need to walk along the road.
There is great walking all around the cottage, and the coastal village of Blakeney is just 4 miles away down quiet lanes, so perfect for cycling.
