Violet Cottage is an utterly charming cottage, tucked away in the highly sought after village of Kelling on the North Norfolk coast, forming part of The Old Dairy conversion made up of eight cottages. Updated and extended by the current owners, the cottage boasts a super stylish open plan living space, newly fitted kitchen with an Everhot range cooker, three bedrooms, including a flexible downstairs bedroom currently used as a home office and both a downstairs shower room and upstairs family bathroom. Outside there is a cute enclosed garden, off street allocated parking and a further shared courtyard and lawn and lovely views over the rolling countryside beyond.
On entering Violet Cottage you are immediately struck by the attention to detail lavished upon this lovely home. The open plan living space incorporates an extension added by the current owners and is flooded with light from bi-fold doors, windows to the front and rear and velux windows. This room is undoubtedly the heart of the house, beautifully decorated in peaceful grey tones and boasting a newly fitted kitchen with a new Everhot range oven in French Grey. There is ample space for a dining table in the kitchen area with comfortable seating in the living room space looking out through the bi-fold doors to the enclosed garden beyond.
Also downstairs is a flexible room, currently used as a home office but originally designed to act as the downstairs bedroom, with a cosy wood burning stove and a shower room adjacent. There are charming details on the ground floor, like painted beams and small areas of the original flintwork exposed within the crisp white plaster.
Upstairs are two further double bedrooms featuring exposed beams and a family bathroom featuring a bath with shower over.
The Old Dairy cottages share a gravelled parking area, off the street, with allocated parking for each cottage and a number of visitor spaces too.
Violet Cottage has a small, South facing, enclosed garden to the rear. Whilst demure, there is still plenty of space for a table & chairs on the patio, BBQ, small lawn and some very pretty planting. It really is the definition of 'small but perfectly formed'. The bi-fold doors from the main living space open to this garden.
There is also a lovely shared, enclosed, lawn area backing on to the car park. Perfect for children to kick a ball or have a run around in safety.
On the other side of the cottage is a shared enclosed courtyard garden. This is bordered by all eight cottages on three sides with a gate out onto the road through Kelling.
