Property Description

The Property

Penny Black Cottage is a charming, three-bedroom, period cottage. Situated in the quiet village of Gimingham, the cottage has a courtyard garden, off-road parking, and exposed beams throughout the cottage. The accommodation briefly comprises: a sitting room, downstairs bathroom, dining room, kitchen, three double bedrooms upstairs, the principal with separate washroom and a family bathroom.

Coming into the cottage through the front door you are welcomed into a large open sitting room, which has doors leading to the dining room, downstairs bathroom, and two traditional Norfolk winder staircases. The downstairs bathroom consists of a shower, loo, wash hand basin, and heated towel rail.

The sitting room is a brilliant open space with exposed timber, three windows to the front aspect of the property, flooding the room with natural light. There are two staircases in this property and on the left, as you enter the sitting room, is the main set of stairs which are used, but either this set or other staircase can be made use of. Also, to the left is the door leading through to the dining room and onto the kitchen.

The dining room has dual aspect windows, one to the front aspect and one larger window to the side aspect. The flooring is that of traditional pamment tiling, which only adds to the character of the cottage.

The kitchen has space for a freestanding cooker, washing machine, and fridge freezer. The kitchen a shaker style with wooden worktops and features a window looking out to the rear aspect of the property. Another feature of the kitchen and the cottage itself, is the hatch on the ceiling in this room. The hatch is there to allow furniture to be transferred between the upstairs and downstairs with ease, a very useful feature for bulkier items.

The staircase on the left side of the property takes you up to a large open landing with all rooms arranged off. The principal bedroom has a window to the rear aspect and features a large separate washroom.

The family bathroom has a window to the rear aspect and features a bath with shower over, wash hand basin, loo, and heated towel rail.

The second and third bedrooms are of similar size, both with windows to the front aspect of the property and exposed beams running through both rooms. The third bedroom can be accessed via two separate ways, one way is to go through the second bedroom or alternatively the stairs to the right of the cottage lead directly up to this room.

Off-street parking is available immediately outside the front of the cottage, there is also a small courtyard garden where there is currently an outdoor seating area.
