The Cottage
Arden Cottage is a pretty two-bedroom, period property, tucked away in the heart of the super popular coastal village of Thornham. This is the first time the cottage has been on the market for over thirty years, having a been a cherished second home and latterly successful holiday let for the current owners.
On entering from the porch, you are greeted by the cosy sitting room, with stairs leading up from the back wall to the bedrooms and family shower room. The kitchen is off the sitting room to the left, a galley style cottage kitchen, with a window out to the front and fitted wall and base units, space for a washing machine, sink and free standing electric oven and hob. The cottage was extended in 2002 to create a second bedroom upstairs and a further reception room, ideal as a dining room / additional seating area, flooded with natural light from a window and door to the gravelled area to the front of the cottage.
Upstairs, are the two double bedrooms and the family shower room, arranged off the landing. The principal bedroom features a pretty inglenook, currently housing a chest of drawers and a window to the front, currently arranged with a double bed, bedside tables and a storage cupboard. Bedroom two is also currently arranged with a double bed, with bedside table and occasional storage shelves. There is a window out to the side of the cottage with further natural light from a Velux window above.
The shower room, situated on the landing between the two bedrooms has a shower cubicle with electric shower, wash hand basin and WC.
Outside
There is parking on the shared gravelled area to the front of the cottage, with further unrestricted parking to the side of the road outside the loke.
Arden Cottage has a pretty patio garden area opposite the cottage, with space for outside dining furniture and a BBQ. Screened from the other cottages with a willow fence and softened with shrubs and climbing roses.
The cottage also has three brick built garden sheds, just adjacent to the garden patio area. The brick and chalk shed that is attached to the kitchen end of the cottage, belongs to a neighbouring cottage.

Arden Cottage has been let privately to holiday guests since 2019 by the current owner. Because the owner uses the property regularly, the second bedroom has been locked for guests, so personal items can be kept at the cottage; so the cottage has only been available for a maximum of two guests.
